Hands-on consulting and training, working alongside your company to help your staff learn, grow, and shine.
Elizabeth (‘Beth’) Irias’s consulting work was born out of her passion for improving the quality of care for mental health patients… she feels strongly that streamlining administrative processes often leads to improved treatment outcomes.
Beth has a strong background in Utilization Review, Clinical Management, and Quality Assurance, she provides businesses with clinical support as they navigate accreditation, program development, managed care utilization review processes, and appeals with external organizations like the Department of Managed Health Care and the Department of Insurance. She is an adjunct professor in the Graduate Psychology Department at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA, and an experienced trainer. She has served on a number of clinical management teams, including directing the Admissions Department at a 100-bed residential dual-diagnosis treatment facility in Los Angeles, CA, and running the Utilization Review Department for an adolescent dual-diagnosis facility in Woodland Hills, CA. Carolyn Hall, Owner of Roundtable Counseling
“I had Beth Irias come and do a training for my staff in June and I was thrilled! She was professional, yet approachable, and helped to educate all clinical members on documentation practices. The information she presented was clear and concise and she was open to all questions from my staff. I would hire her again and will likely do so regularly to advise on legal and ethical issues.” July 2018
Monica Blauner, President of the California Society of Clinical Social Work, L.A.
“After 40 years in practice, I finally know what should be in my clinical documentation. Beth’s presentation was the clearest and most comprehensive explanation of what information should be included in our notes and why, that I’ve heard. I appreciated that she focused more on content than on format. All mental health clinicians should hear this presentation, and I’ve been telling my colleagues what I’ve learned.” July 2018
Dr. Thomas Wood, Clinical Director at Nexus Recovery Services
“Beth has a fund of knowledge in the field of behavioral health that is only matched by her perceptiveness, quick mind and a pragmatic ability to make good solid recommendations. I found her to be collaborative, respectful and I took away many great suggestions for optimizing our agency’s clinical forms within our electronic medical record that we have already implemented to great effect. She has a very accessible teaching method and style. In my role as a clinical director, I consider her to be an invaluable resource!” March 2018
Devon Wayt, Vice President at Northbound Treatment Services
“Elizabeth is the best clinical documentation consultant we have ever partnered with. Her acumen, and masterful understanding of the utilization review process, is unmatched in the addiction treatment industry. She asks the right questions, answers the right answers, and she has the ability to meet any clinician where they are at in their clinical documentation growth journey. Our belief systems aligned immediately, and we are honored to consider her a part of our team.”
